The Internet

The Internet is a very simple and straightforward module. The work is straightforward, doesn't require a lot of explanation. We have been tasked with conducting research on the South African Flag and the Coat of Arms. This task showcased the different elements that make up the Coat of Arms, and the symbolism of the colours of the flag. The task helped us discover the importance of knowing the elements that make up the different symbols that we are identified by as a county.

Maths Literacy

I was introduced to a new form of Mathematics during my End-User Computing course, and that is Maths Literacy. I have never done this form of Math before and it was an eye opening experience. I got to see the different ways in Maths questions can be asked and answered. The logic you need to answer, and the reasoning behind every answer that you give. The practicality needed to answer questions, allows you to think deeply before you answer, and ensure that your answers are practical and logical.

Business Research Report

For the Communications module, we were required to think of a business venture we'd like to pursue and take steps into making that dream happen. The business venture I have chosen to embark on is a marketing agency. The marketing agency is called Pinnacle Progress. The reason for the name Pinnacle Progress is that I aim to take my clients to the highest peak in their careers. This name showcases the determination I want to display to make people's dreams happen.  The task has opened up my eyes to new ways in which people can elevate their brands.

End-User Computing

A very difficult, but interesting course. It took some time getting used to the way things work within the course, however, we got there eventually. There were different layers to the course, each providing their own distinct knowledge. The courses provided different perspectives on how to deal with workplace environments, how to work your way through the Microsoft Office platforms, e.g. Word, PowerPoint and Excel, as well how to communicate within the workplace. It has been a long and informative 3 months, with breaks in between, and it has been a wonderful experience.

Dream Speech

I Have a Dream   Good morning to my fellow classmates, lecturers and the esteemed guests at large. My name is Khanyisile Mthembu and I have a dream.   I have a dream—a dream that one day I will finish school, that the chapters of my education will be written in the ink of determination, perseverance, and growth. I have a dream that I will not just walk across that stage with a degree in hand, but that I will stand tall, knowing I have earned it through every struggle, every sleepless night, and every challenge I have faced. And in that moment, I will look around and feel my heart swell with pride, not just for the achievement, but for the journey that got me there.   I have a dream that as I walk this path, I will become the best version of myself—the version my mother always hoped I would be. I can almost hear her voice, telling me to keep going, telling me to push forward, even when the weight of the world feels too heavy to bear. Though she is no longer her...

Bye Semester 1

Today marks the end of Semester 1. It's been a long few weeks, but there was plenty to learn. From learning how to read body language, to having to write dream speeches, it's been a long and educational couple of weeks. I can't wait to see what the rest of the course has in store for me....... next year.

Dashboard, what a task!

This has been a long week. We've been tasked with creating an interactive dashboard, and boy is it a lot. Luckily we were given a lifeline, because we didn't have to create everything from scratch, we could use some documents from a task of another module. The task required us to know the businesses we wanted to create thoroughly, and be able to measure the success we think the business will measure up to. The task is a lot, however I managed to push through and complete. All thanks to the help of YouTube videos.
